"BAP" means "Buy A Piece"

It is a way for a person to offer investments in themselves

Basically, a staker will post the tournament they want to play and break down the buyin into pieces (shares) and sell the pieces to individuals wishing to invest in the staker's game. The winnings are then paid according to the number of shares the investors bought.


e.g.
Tournament: Pokerstars Sunday Million
Date: February 10, 2008
buyin: $200 + $15
# of shares: 20
$ per share: $10


Commonly, the staker is responsible for the poker site's buyin fee, but this can be included as a share too should you wish to do it that way.


The BAP thread must be updated as investors buy shares.
A rail is always required in a BAP stake.
pokerfame's fee for a BAP is $5 prior to listing BAP.

Failure to pay the listing fee will result in the BAP being deleted.
